Another Sopwith was involved and attacked by the Albatros D.III of Lt Str?e. The pilot, Lubbock and his observer, Thompson did not survive.
All four are buried at Lijssenthoek.

The Sopwith Strutter A1071 was involved in an aerial combat between Ypres and Potijze, at 11.15 a.m.; was shot down by the Albatros D.III of Lt Josef Flink Ja 18; out of control, wings folded, wrecked; the pilot, 2Lt HGC Bowden was also killed in action (and is buried in Lijssenthoek)
