Youngest son of Keppel Arthur and Margaret A. Turnour, Cohuna, Victoria. Four brothers: Arthur Wallace Turnour (1879 - KIA 13 Oct 1917, 38th Batt. - buried at Tyne Cot (family did request the brothers be buried together)

James Owen Turnour (1883 - 1967) - 24th Batt. Lost a leg France May 1917
Keppel Ernest Turnour (1884 - 1946) - served with AIF but based in London due to health problems (asthma).
