- Counter artillery patrol; the Armstrong-Whitworth FK8 C3522 was shot up by ground machine gun fire , 1.20 p.m.; wrecked; Jones was the pilot; the observer, 2Lt Smith, was also killed in action and is buried in Lijssenthoek.
